Yu-Gi-Oh! Battle of the Heavens Episode 8: “Face Off: Greg vs. Sophia, Part 2”
Sophia looked at her cousin, Greg, with a surprised looked on her face. Greg had just summoned his ultimate trump card: Performance of the sword, which was a 1950/1850 Ritual Warrior. He had said that this card would defeat her three Blue Eyes White Dragons on his next draw…and she didn’t know if he was bluffing or not. She looked at her draw card: Polymerization. “Okay Greg, can you beat this? I play Polymerization! I fuse my 3 dragons together to summon my BLUE EYES ULTIMATE DRAGON! (4200 ATK I think…)” Greg smiled when he saw that his Ritual Weapon card. “Okay Sophia, you asked how my Performance of the Sword could be victorious, so here is the answer: RITUAL WEAPON! This gives my Performance of the Sword a 1500 boost on ATK and DEF, which gives it stats of 3450/3350! On my next draw, you will say good-bye to your dragon!” Sophia was shaken to the core. She had no clue that Greg had that powerful card in his deck! She hoped with every fiber in her body that the next card was her Shadow Spell…unfortunately the draw card was her Red Eyes B. Chick. She couldn’t play it because Greg could slice it in half and she couldn’t attack because her Ultimate dragon might be destroyed! But she needed to do something! “I’ll play my Red Eyes B. Chick in ATK mode (800/500)” Greg would have done a little parade march around the arena if he could: He drew his A. Forces spell card! ‘I’ll play the A. Forces spell card. That means my Performance of the Sword gets and extra 200 ATK. I now pay 2000 Life Points and play Dimension Fusion! I bring back my Sparkman, Burstinatrix, and Clayman! And since their four warriors in play, each one of my monsters gets an extra 800 ATK! (Performance: 4050 ATK, Sparkman: 2400 ATK, Burstinatrix: 2000 ATK, and Clayman: 1600 ATK) PERFORMANCE OF THE SWORD, ATTACK BLUE EYES ULTIMATE DRAGON WITH TWO ARMED SLASH ATTACK!
Sophia – 4350 Greg – 1000
Sophia was now starting to get worried. Greg had FOUR powerhouse monsters that could tear her monsters to shreds! The she looked at her next card: Koumori Dragon! “I’ll summon Koumori Dragon in ATK mode. (1500/1000) I’ll sacrifice my two monsters so I can summon my BUSTER BLADER! (2600/2300) And since I have EIGHT dragons in my graveyard, Buster Blader gets an extra 4000 ATK, which gives it a total of 6600 ATK!” But Sophia knew that she couldn’t attack, for Greg might destroy her Warrior! Greg smiled. He noticed her hesitation as he drew his next card. (Miracle Fusion) This should make her even more hesitant, he thought. “I’ll but one card face down. I’ll then activate…UNITED WE STAND! I equip it to my Performance of the Sword, giving it an extra 3200 ATK! (Performance now has 7250 ATK) Sophia wasn’t worried anymore, for she just noticed that her draw card was her…Divine dragon. I’ll play Divine Dragon. I then activate BLACK LUSTER RITUAL! I’ll sacrifice my two monster so I can play my Black luster Soldier! I’ll also activate Dragon’s Mirror! I remove Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon and Black Luster soldier from play so I can summon…THE ULTIMATE DRAGON RIDER! (5000/5000) and since it gets an extra 500 ATK for EVERY Dragon in my Graveyard, it now has 40000 ATK!” Greg gasped as Sophia’s monster got pumped up to a very, very, VERY high ATK. He had heard rumors that Sophia had this dragon, but she never confirmed it. I guess this confirms it! Greg thought grimly. I need to get out my other two United We Stands…Greg then looked at his draw card, which was United We Stand #2! “I’ll put one card face down” Sophia was confident as she drew her next card. (Shadow Spell) Greg couldn’t possibly win now. I mean, she had a monster with 40000 ATK! “I’ll put one card face down. “ Greg started to form a plan as he saw his draw card. (Alpha the Magnet Warrior) “I’ll play Alpha the Magnet Warrior in attack mode (1400/1800), which gives Performance an extra 800 attack! (Performance: 8050 ATK) I’ll also activate my Miracle Fusion! I remove my Sparkman and Clayman from play to summon Elemental Hero Thunder Giant! (3300 ATK due to A. Forces) “Greg! Have you gone mad?” Violet shrieked from the Sidelines. “You are decreasing everyone’s ATK!” which was true: Performance now had 6650 and Burstinatrix now had 1400 ATK! “Its okay violet” Greg said. ‘I have a plan. The only thing that matters is that I have you and the heart of the cards by my side” Sophia wasn’t really paying attention. She was looking at her draw card: Poison of the Old Man. ‘I’ll put my draw card facedown” Greg then drew his card. (Beta) “I’ll play Beta the Magnet Warrior in DEF mode. (No attack needed.)” I just need two more three more cards, Greg thought. Then I can win… Sophia drew her next card. (Shadow Spell) She couldn’t attack because of those face down cards! I just need my Wingbeat of Giant Dragon! She thought. “I’ll put one card face-down.” Greg drew his next card. (Pot of Greed) “I’ll play Pot of Greed to draw two more cards” When he looked at them he felt elation sweep through him. “I’ll play Gamma the Magnet Warrior! I’ll Tribute Alpha, Beta, and Gamma so I can play Valkyrion the Magna Warrior! (3850/3500) I’ll also activate United We Stand and equip it to Valkyrion! (Note: Performance: 7450 ATK, Valkyrion: 7050 ATK) “Greg, give it up! You can’t defeat my Ultimate Dragon Rider! Face it! You’re WAY out of your league!” “You think so?” Greg shouted! “Well guess what: you’re wrong! My next draw card will show you that I am a TRUE duelist!”
Was Greg bluffing, or does he really have a trick up his sleeve. See you later!
