Episode 27: “Battle of the World, Part 4”
Greg’s heart was pounding away as he drew his next card. (Ring of Destruction) He was dueling his father, Dartz, to determine whether or not the order of time would be restored. Right now, he was taking a beating.
“Critias, merge with my draw card to form an unstoppable creature!”
“I comply” Critias rumbled.
Suddenly, Critias was surrounded by a beautiful purple light. Ring of Destruction flew out of Greg’s hand and went inside the nimbus of light.
Greg’s eyes danced as he smiled tightly at Dartz. “Father, I’d like to introduce you to someone (a great dragon emerges from nimbus. Everything stops): MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION DRAGON (4000/4000)! It cannot be targeted by spells or abilities and it cannot be destroyed in battle. Also, if I sacrifice it, one of your creatures will die and you take direct LP damage equal too the destroyed monster’s ATK. MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION DRAGON, ATTACK SILLVA RIGHT NOW!”
Greg – 1600 Dartz – 3850
Dartz drew his next card (Sword of Kings). “I discard Sinister Serpent from my hand to play Sword of Kings! Malicious Destruction Dragon is destroyed and I gain 1000 LP points!”
No, Greg thought wildly. It’s impossible. He can’t-
But Dartz could: Critias was gone.
Greg – 1600 Dartz – 4850
Greg was about to draw his next card but suddenly, he had a vision:
It was another peaceful day at the Academy. Birds were chirping. The sun was shining, and everyone was done fighting each other. Suddenly, the picture expands and Greg sees shadows of darkness pressing against the island. Crackling laughter sounded from each one. Zombies and dark beings roamed the lands. Then, the Academy was covered on darkness. Then everything started burning. First the Critias dorm, then the others, until the school itself was on fire. Parading duelists in dark clothes marched up and down the island, destroying everything in their path. Suddenly, the fire started to spread. Pretty soon all of Asia, Europe, Africa, and the other continents were blazing red. The picture expanded again and Greg saw the whole world aflame, with Shadows pressing in on the other planets.
He was at the center of it all that was for sure. He was the only one to stop it. He couldn’t stop evil from being born, but at least he could prevent an apocalypse. There was only one thing to do…
Greg shook his head to clear it and he drew his next card. (Burstinatrix) “I summon E-Hero Burstinatrix in ATK mode!”
“Greg, one lowly Burstinatrix won’t help you defeat me!” Dartz called out. “Face it. You’ve lost! Give in, and I might spare you.”
“You haven’t heard the prophecy, have you?” Greg sneered. “You think you can control everything like the other madmen out there. But you’re wrong. It is my destiny to beat you Dartz! And I will, even if it’s the last thing I do!”
Well, all the dragons are gone. Greg only has his E-Heroes left to pull him out of this mess. But are they enough? Find out later!
