Episode 25: “Battle of the World, Part 2”
Greg looked at his duel disk. There were three cards on it: Archlord Zerato, Shining Flare Wingman, and Hermos. Hermos, the monster he just summoned, was one of the three Atlantean Dragons he had at his disposal.
Greg then turned his attention to the playing field. Hermos had the special ability to turn any monster into an Equip Spell. His gaze lingered on Archlord Zerato. Something clicked inside his mind. He knew what to do.
“I now unleash Hermos’ special ability! Hermos, turn Archlord Zerato into the Legendary Blade: Fairy Sword!”
“I comply” Hermos said.
Suddenly, a bright orange light surrounded the monster. In a brilliant flash of light, a blade with small wings was in the monster’s place.
“I equip Legendary Blade: Fairy Sword to Shining Flare Wingman, which turns it to a Fairy. SHINING FLARE WINGMAN, ATTACK INFERNALQUEEN ARCHFIEND NOW! And whenever Shining Flare Wingman attacks, thanks to Fairy Sword, I gain LP equal to Shining Flare Wingman’s ATK points!”
Greg – 6850 Dartz – 3050
Dartz was a little worried up to now: He just drew his Sword of Kings! This card helped me defeat the Dragons before, Dartz thought. But this time, I just need to sacrifice a creature to destroy all creatures and I gain LP equal to the number of creatures destroyed times 1000!
“I sacrifice Sinister Serpent to play SWORD OF KNIGS! All your creatures are destroyed and I gain 2000 LP!”
Greg felt Hermos’ battle link with him slipping. Just before he left, the great beast said “You can do this. You still have the other 2 dragons to aid you…”
Greg – 6850 Dartz – 5050
Greg drew his next card (Sparkman) “I summon E-Hero Sparkman in ATK mode (1600/1400).”
Dartz drew his next card (Forces of Darkness) “I set one card face-down”
Greg drew his next card. (Avian) “I summon E-Hero Avian in ATK mode. (1000/1000)”
Dartz drew his next card (Graceful Charity) “I activate Forces of Darkness! This card allows me to choose 2 cards from my Graveyard and return them to my hand (Sillva x2 go back to hand)! I then play Graceful Charity. I draw 2 cards (Checkmate and Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World) and then I discard three cards (Sillva, Sillva, and Goldd) and that makes me able to summon 3 monsters: two Sillvas and Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World! (2300/1400) My Warlords attack your two monsters”
Greg – 4850 Dartz – 5050
Greg drew his next card (Bubbleman) “I discard my draw card to draw another card (Miracle Fusion). I then play Miracle Fusion! I remove Avian, Sparkman, and Bubbleman from play to summon this card: E-HERO TEMPEST! (2800/2800) TEMPEST, ATTACK SILLVA WITH THUNDERBUBBLE TORNADO!”
Greg – 4850 Dartz – 4550
Greg then lifted his gauntlet hand into the air again and shouted “Oporaviti se mene Zelen Zmaj!”
“I come” rumbled Timaeus.
Suddenly, Greg’s duel disk crackled with green electricity. A green nimbus of light lit up the playing field. When everything stopped, Timaeus stood by Greg’s side, the Timaeus card on the duel disk.
Greg smiled tightly. “Now it’s time to get my game on”
