Gather Children and you shall know,
Of a Thanksgiving so long ago,
It was a time of great rejoicing,
With people their worries voicing,
For an event so funny and tall,
The Turkey that played football!
Mr. Turkey faced not so small odds,
For he faced a Dallas team with oh-so-large bods,
The winner would be well fed,
While the loser would be led to a plate covered in red.
Mr. Turkey tried his best he did,
But his best was the actions of a two-month old kid,
When the final quarter struck,
Mr. Turkey ever did cluck.
That is why we have turkey my child,
But don’t be so meek and mild,
When Mr. Turkey lost 100 to 3,
Dallas ate him, you see.
