It looked so foreboding, so forlorn, For whose gates many have scorn, But he paid no heed, To the graffitied walls and the surrounding weed, And walked in with his head held high, Disregarding the wind’s blustery sigh.
The man stomped between the tombstones of the dead, His heart pounding away inside his head, Until he came to a stop in front of a grave, Whose occupants he couldn’t save, He fell to his knees and his shoulders shook, For his happiness his parents’ grave had took.
