Why do I feel this way?

My stomach all a-flutter,

Like the butterfly fluttering through the sky,

The room feels like a summer Monday,

And I’m melting like butter,

Under your intense gaze,

Bright as the solar flare,

Do I dare move nearer?

I cautiously move ahead,

And the distance between us is shortened by a pace,

I stare into that beautiful face,

Those blue eyes,

That wavy brown hair,

You blush and bow your head,

Does my scrutiny make you shy?

I cannot think through this haze,

I’m going by impulse, by feeling,

Your head rises, the shy guise,

Replaced with raw emotion,

The tension is at its height,

I cannot continue like this,

So softly our lips met,

All our love for each other,

Crashing through all barricades,

Meeting to create unequal bliss,

That sends us reeling,

When we separate the tension fades,

We together have passed through a new door,

We have evolved into something more,

We are each others light,

We have no equals in our devotion,

She loves me and I her,

Nothing to me is dearer,

Than my Juliet.
