Favorite Cards

1. Wilt-Leaf Liege (Shadowmoor): Its awesome artwork would be more than enough to make this a fav, but its ability to pump up my white and green creatures and being immune to cards like Raven's Crime and Thoughtseize (it comes into play when its discarded) makes it amazing. A 4/4 body for 4 isn't bad either.

2. Wren's Run Vanquisher (Lorwyn): For two mana, you get a 3/3 Elf with deathtouch. the drawback? having to reveal an extra Elf card in your hand or pay an extra three.

3. Lightning Bolt (M10): One mana. Three damage. Instant Speed. Four words: Best Burn Spell Ever. More words: MUST. HAVE. PLAYSET. IN. ALL. AGGRO. RED. DECKS!!!

4. Imperious Perfect (Lorwyn): Another Elf with a Champion effect. Along with the +1/+1, this gal can make Elf tokens too.

5. Bloodbraid Elf (Alara Reborn): a 3/2 hasty for 2RG is great normally, but being able to play another spell for free is ground-breaking.

6. Incandescent Soulstoke (Lorwyn): This guy is a mainstay in any Elemental Deck. For three mana, all your other Elementals get +1/+1 and you can play Elementals from your hand, ignoring their mana cost, just for two.

7. Talara's Battalion (Eventide): For two mana, you get a 4/3 Elf with Trample. There's also a very easy drawback of playing a green spell alongside it in order to bring it into play.

8. Elvish Champion (10th Edition): I rate this lower than the Imperious Perfect because of its Forestwalk ability: I'd rather not give all my opponent's Elves a free avenue of attack.

9. Essence Warden (Planar Chaos): This little 1/1 for G has little appreciation. It gives you 1 life every time a person plays a creature. In decks like Elf that swarm, or decks that generate lots of tokens, this gal is amazing.

10. Shrapnel Blast (Mirrodin): This is the second best burn spell in the game. For two and the added cost of sacrificing an artifact, you deal 5 damage. That's better than Tribal Flames as it doesn't depend on your land count.

Honorable Mention

Wild Nacatl (Shards of Alara): For one mana, you get 1/1 that will be a 3/3 if you have a mountain and a plains out. This problem becomes easier if you use the Ravinca duals.

Vedalkan Adjudicator (Conflux): A 4/4 for 5 with flying is reasonable, but this guys two abilities push it over the top: being able to Mortify your opponent's threat and then untap it to either attack or do it again is just begging to be abused.

Dragon Broodmother (Alara Reborn): I got two of this card during the Prerelease, and believe me, I'm happy I did. This card single-handedly gave me a W. How? Well, being a 4/4 flyer for 6 is good, but its ability to make little 1/1, flying, devouring dragons EVERY TURN can get out of hand real fast.
