Top 10 Rating (out of 5 stars. *= 1 star, ^= 1/2 star)

1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: ***** The story of Harry Potter comes to a close...IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE!! This is, simply put, THE BEST BOOK YOU'LL EVER SEE ON A BOOK STORE SHELF!! I'm not giving anything away, but you MUST get this book! This isn't like Lucas' Revenge of the Sith, whose sole purpose was to glue the entire Star Wars saga together (in the messiest way possible), this book ends ALL doubts, speculations, etc. about the Harry Potter series as we know it. Rowling has even put a surprise in the final few pages of the book! I do not foresee this book leaving its throne any time soon.

2. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix: ***** Excellent book. The prophecy has kept it on top for a long time, but now that it's been fulfilled, there is no reason for it to stay Number 1. Probably the best Potter book out there, second only to Deathly Hallows.

3. The Last Olympian: ***** The first ever Percy Jackson book to make the Top 3 will probably stay there for quite a while. This work is vastly superior to the previous four. Percy and co. prepare for the final showdown with Kronos as Typhon rampages through North America, attracting the attention of the gods and leaving Mount Olympus defenseless. We learn more of Luke's past and the Great Prophecy, and the ending will shake readers to the core. But one important question remains: will there be a sequel?

4. Angels & Demons: ***** The book that is behind the movie, this is the prequel to The Da Vinci Code. Robert Langdon faces a mysterious cult that was supposed to be eradicated by the Church, anti-matter bombs, and a sadistic assassin all on the day when the Vatican selects a new Pope. The numerous twists and turns keep you guessing until the final page...and then you'll want to read it again to make sure you didn't miss anything.

5. The Last Lecture: ***** This book is such an inspiration. Randy Pausch has collected everything he has learned and applied in his life and is passing it on to us, but not for our sakes, but for the sakes of his kids. A truly life-altering work.

6. Brisingr: ****^ AT LAST!! The next installment of the Inheritance Trilogy is here! And it was worth the wait! Secrets are revealed, new friends are introduced, heroes fall, and the stage is set for the final confrontation with Galbatorix! There is even some hope for a EragonxAyra romance! The only downside is the fact that most of the book reeks of Star Wars.

7. Invincible: ****^ In the final installment of the Legacy of the Force series, Caedus has brought the Moffs under his control and his doubling his efforts to find the hidden Jedi base. Meanwhile, Jaina has returned from Mandalore and goes gunning for her brother, just as the prophecy spoken to her by Luke Skywalker predicted. But she cannot doubt herself, nor let personal feelings interfere with her mission, for too much has been lost, too many have suffered and died. But can Jaina defeat the most powerful Sith Lord to roam the galaxy since Darth Vader?

8. The Time Paradox: ****^ In what is quite possibly the final installment of the Artemis Fowl series, our boy genius goes back in time to find a cure for his mother, who is sick with a fairy disease. However, there is a catch: he must do the impossible. He must out-smart...himself.

9. Order 66: **** Another remarkable book by Karen Traviss. The members of Omega Squad continue to fight as the war comes to a close, all the while planning their escape. Etain tries to find a way to break the news of her pregnancy to Darman. Business as usual. But when the most sinister command in galactic history is given, plans are disrupted...and lives will change forever.

10. Eldest: **** Another great book. Eragon is recuperating from his duel with Durza and he decides to travel to Du Weldenvarden and learn from the Elves. In the forest lie many secrets, and nothing is what it seems. But will Eragon learn enough to confront his newest opponent?

Top 3 Authors (and their ratings)

1. J.K. Rowling: ***** Started out as a poor women and then became a multi-millionaire! Deathly Hallows was a fitting end to this magical series. Long live Harry Potter!!

2. Christopher Paolini: ****^ Started life homeschooled and now an author with a great writing style. Rowling is better, though. However, he gains a half star for his excellent work on Brisingr.

3. John Flanagan: **** This guy's stories get better as the series goes on. That's more than enough to knock off Garth Nix.
