Episode 1: “I’m With You”
Greg and Violet were walking through the ground of Duelist Academy. Greg had just beaten Zane Truesdale in a duel. Sophia, Greg’s cousin, had returned to the Critias Purple Dorm. Greg and Violet, on the other hand, were taking a romantic stroll.
Greg looked down at his arm: his duel disk was still attached to it. “Man, I forgot to take it off!” Greg exclaimed. “Wait here Violet, I’ll be right back!” And with that, he hurried to the Critias dorms.
Violet smiled. Greg is so cute when he realizes he’s forgotten something.
Violet made her way to the fountain of Dark Magician. It was her favorite place. Rumor has it that if you threw a coin in and made a wish, it would come true. But there was something the rumors didn’t mention: the granting of the wish depended on which side of the coin it landed on. Heads, the wish was granted. Tails, and the exact opposite of what you wished for happens.
Violet closed her eyes, took out a quarter, and said “Please let my date be perfect” And with that, he tossed the coin into the water and it quickly sank from view. But little did Violet know that her first date was about to turn sour.
The coin had landed tail-side up.

Violet sat on the nearby bench and shivered. IT was turning very cold very fast. Where’s Greg?! She thought. He should’ve been back by now!
Suddenly, the sky overhead started to rumble. Violet felt a drop of water hit her skin. She looked up and she was awarded with the start of a downpour.
I’m standing on a bridge
I’m waiting in the dark
I’d thought that you’d be here by now
There’s nothing but the rain
No footsteps on the ground
I’m listening but there’s no sound
Violet curled up on the wet ground and began to cry. Greg doesn’t really love me. He’s probably in the dorm laughing his head off at me right now.
Isn’t anyone trying to find me?
Won’t somebody come and take me home?
Suddenly she noticed that the rain had stopped falling on her. Looking up, she noticed the she was under an umbrella. The holder, of course, was Greg.
“Sorry I took so long.” He said with a sad smile. “Chazz and his cronies tried picking a fight. They won’t be dueling me for a while.” He then grew serious. “You’re soaking wet. We should get you inside” With that he helped her up and began walking towards the dorm. But he didn’t get far: Violet put her hand in his and was holding him back.
“Please” she whispered. “Don’t go”
It’s a damn cold night

Greg nodded his consent and came closer. His hand brushed the water off her face. “I’ll never leave you alone”
Violet smiled and clasped the hand that was brushing her face
“I thought…I thought you’d gone back to the dorm and forgotten me”
Greg chuckled. “And leave the damsel in distress out in the rain? Never!”
I’m looking for a place
Searching for a face
Is anybody here I know
Cause nothing’s going right
And everything’s a mess
And no one likes to be alone
Violet playfully smacked his arm. “I’m not in distress!”
Greg wrapped his arms around her. “No, but you cause me distress when you’re not there”
Should I tell her now? Greg wondered. I’ve pretty much said I can’t live without her.
Should I tell him now? Violet wondered. He’s already said that he can’t live without me.
Isn’t anyone trying to find me?
Won’t somebody come take me home?
Greg hesitantly took his hands off her back and put them on her face again. Violet closed her eyes, enjoying the moment.
“Violet…” Greg said softly. “You mean everything to me. I couldn’t stand it if you got hurt because of me. I’d never hurt you on purpose, never.”

Violet took his hands and thought, Is this what love is like?
Oh why is everything so confusing?
Maybe I’m just out of my mind

“Greg there’s something I have to tell you…” Violet said, searching for words.
Greg’s face fell. Here it comes, he thought. She’ll say that we can’t be together.
These thoughts made Greg miss what Violet was saying. “Do you mind repeating that?”
Violet stepped closer and kissed him deeply and wrapped her arms around his neck. Greg was a little taken aback but he soon got used to it. After about a minute, they broke apart. Violet whispered “I love you”
“I love you too” Greg murmured back.

And with that, the two lovers went back to their respective dorms and fell asleep.
